Garage Door Openers!

A garage door opener is definitely a convenient home feature to have. Easily overlooked, garage door openers are highly complex pieces of equipment, often containing dozens of intricate parts that work simultaneously with one another to consistently raise and lower your door.

There are a few things that you need to keep in mind, so you will know what to expect when it comes to a garage door opener installation.

There are Two Types of Garage Door Openers:

BELT DRIVE -

Belt drive garage openers use a rubber belt to open the garage door. Like a chain drive, the belt drive operates by moving the rubber belt. The rubber belt is used to slide the trolley when the door is triggered to open or close the door.

CHAIN DRIVE - 

Chain drive garage door opener uses a metal chain to open the garage door. These are widely used since they are affordable and easily available. This garage door opener works by moving gears and metal parts together.

You also may find it in interesting that the opener does not to much of the lifting. The opener typically has 1/2 or 1/3 horsepower motors. It is safe to say that the opener does not do most of the opening and closing. Our technicians would be able to determine which opener would be right for you!

Garage Door Openers are also very convenient and they "keep up with the times". Garage door openers have come a long way when it comes to design. Unlike in the past, they are now more efficient in terms of energy consumption. In addition to standard safety features, which have been around for many years (e.g. eye sensors that detect obstructions in your garage door’s path and automatically reverse the direction), there are many modern-tech features available in today’s openers.
